About COMET

NASA Deep Space Mission

Consolidated Operations, Management, Engineering and Test (COMET) services include operation, maintenance and processing of complex launch-related ground systems that require skilled engineering and integrated management.  COMET will provide engineering; ground system development; flight vehicle/spacecraft processing; and launch, landing, and recovery operations for the following Exploration Systems Development programs: Exploration Ground Systems, Space Launch System, and Orion Programs.

We are excited to announce that Jacobs was awarded the COMET contract at KSC.  As a teammate on the contract, DECK4 would like to thank our employees for their work ethic and dedication on the Test and Operations Support Contract (TOSC).  We also send a warm and delighted welcome to the incumbent employees who will join the DECK4 Team under the new contract agreement.

Where do I apply?

DECK4 will contact all identified incumbent employees that are offered to us for hiring.  In order to expedite the hiring process, we ask that you email your resume, certifications, degree’s, etc. to karenp@deck4.co.  

Will I retain my current pay, senority?

It is our goal to keep the employee whole in terms of total compensation (i.e. pay and benefits). Voluntarily disclosing your compensation by submitting your most recent paystub, will help us to do this.  All pay rates must be in line with our awarded government contract.  Service time will be used to set PTO when validated by your previous employer.

When do benefits start?

Health care benefits begin on your first day of employment with DECK4 - May 1st.  Our medical carrier is United Health Care.  Benefit information will be provided during onboarding.

What is the pay frequency and schedule?

DECK4 pays on a bi-weekly schedule.  A schedule will be provided upon hire.

Will I have to interview for my job?

Formal interviews will not be held for incumbent employees.

Will I have to complete pre-employment drug testing?

We are committed to a Drug-Free Workplace.  We do perform pre-employment drug testing. During the hiring process, we will provide guidance regarding how and where to take the test. 

Will I have to complete pre-employment background screening?

Yes, all new hires will undergo a company-initiated background check as a requirement for employment. 

Do I need to be re-badged?

Security and IT specialists will work closely with HR during phase-in to administratively transfer incumbent badges and ensure continuity of access to the NASA center and NASA systems upon hire.
